Marvel movies review 2011

I saw the live action Thor and Captain America movies this past summer and all thigs considered I think they did a really nice job on them. Personally it would be hard for me to compare them fairly because they are too different. My sister enjoyed Cap. America more. I kinda lean toward that too.

That part right after Cap. got his powers and used that car door like a shield I immediately thought of my friend Marvel at college. His Captain America shield his friend made for him used a car door for the material.

I hope some more good movies come with this Fall.

I'll also be changing my profile picture so if you want to see the poke'mon card of me ask on Facebook.

Reilly concert

Lat night I went to a free Reilly concert on earth, they do more than only there own songs like they do Happy Day pretty regularly. Jordan the drummer remembered me from two years ago at anna-polooza, just my face not my name. Noel remembered an older woman from before too. Good memory. So we talked a little bit, the after first service today we also talked a bit longer. They were able to do the music that morning, and I went to both services. I'm glad Jordan remembered me from yesterday this time, but still forgot my name, but I'm okay with it.

At the concert they had a air violin contest between a different Jordan and Mary and Mary won but she did have a Masters in fine arts. Later they did an Irish dance for an song.
Reilly is cool because it is violin rock.

I'm glad someone at church could fic their van air condition at his shop because with 5 band members 3 kids and one members wife who isn't in the band, Philadelphia could be long drive.

I like Jordan's drum set it is a four piece so the right mounted tam is not there, his base is a rock as well as the crashes because they are higher, other wise it is kinda a Jazz/Rock set.

Anyway they rock, if you guys are reading this keep blowing us away.

I hope the see you guys again.

Internet glitch

Hey everyone, I need to post more.

Today I got a update of Internet Explorer 9, I know Internet Explorer sucks. Typical of most Microsoft stuff. I thought is was another helpful update, but then it said to restart my computer so I did. When it started again the background was black, the only icon was the recycling bin and a start button that looked like it was from windows 95 or 98. I knew it had not been re-formatted because my password and programs were all the same only the programs did not run. I shut down and turn ed it back on and everything was back.

I no computer whiz, but when your dad and most friends are I pick up a few things. I'll try to post more.

Towel Sunday/ Congratulations

Yesterday on Sunday I received a white towel in front of everyone in second service at church for completing the Focal Point class. Now I am a ministry partner, which is kin of like being a member but a little more; we don't have members really, the term is too vague in my opinion. The church has other reasons though. Anyway my towel says "John 13:14-15". Some people thought it meant me John because they only saw the name and one person was joking. I don't really feel much different, but I like the gift.

Congratulations to Marvel and all my other friends who are graduating at Taylor. Keep in touch with me on g-mail and/or Facebook. I f you guys are ever in Wheaton or anywhere Chicago land give me a call and we do something. See ya.

Day Care

Today I subbed for a day care supervisor at church for the woman's ministry from 9-11am, but it went till 11:34. Before 10:30 I worked with Sammy Vojtech (she needed t leave early fr her job at a coffee shop), then Mrs. Berry whose group finished early helped for the rest. Noah and Calvin Lee didn't come because Noah got sick, so we only had 4yr. old Page and 2yr. old Carson (brother and sister).

Sammy is taking to classes at C.O.D. but not at the Glen Ellyn campus. She loves her intro. to Psych class, but is having a hard time with her Western Civ. class between an monotone teacher and a textbook written like a story (no bolds, etc.)

Anyway I made $25, maybe I can get a permanent job ding that.

I send your my friend/ Taylor

Hey everyone on Foundation this is a little late, but a friend of mine is transferring into Taylor, last week on Teusday the first. He got put in Pent House and he is really awesome. His name is Spencer Noel Goorley. He is a great skate boarder and he already did a similar thing to the boxer run at youth group in high school by running barefoot in the snow with only his boxer's on. He also has jumped off and climb up on to the balcony of my church. He will do anything. He also plays guitar and composes his own music, His stage name is Spencer Noel(no-el). It is not pronounced like the Christmas way it is like mole, but with a N instead of a M. Maybe that gives ideas for a nickname. I was hoping you could welcome, maybe help show him around; even though he will be on Pent House, let me say what the emulate the apostle Paul said "welcome him as you would welcome me."

My Sister/Launch Irony

This passing Tuesday 1/18/2011, my sister calls from here college crying and says she wants to apologize to me and it came as a bit of a surprise. See said she learned something in class in the Book of Matthew, and she feels bad a bout how see is always putting me down. I never held it against fr a long period of time, but siblings are always going to fight, but I kinda know what see means. That was kind of ironic the at she call on that day because I had just been watching DragonBall, the episodes with Violet and Launch, and my sister at times reminded me of Launch one minute nice the next I knock your head off.
College had a good influence on my sister.

Silent Night / Holiplooza 2010

Well Taylor University faced off against Naia the Scarlet Wave I believe was and beat them (and correct me if I am wrong) 112 to 67. We had some great costume and that guy in the hooker dress we lifted up t distract the other teams free throws was awesome. I saw several penguin costumes in fact we seemed to cheer louder when we made 100 points than when Taylor made 10 points. For those who don't understand the importance of 10 points at silent night we can't cheer until Taylor scores 10 points. We also did things like the wave singing songs dancing in the audience of course. I was there for the whole thing and saw some friends from the home church the Benwares. In the 3 years I have been there we have always won

Holiplooza in the DC was also great they had cookies and a chocolate fountain and the soda machines were on. We also had some karaoke and the Habeckers read the Christmas story from Luke. Although I still like Mrs. Habeckers "The Night Before Finals."

Everyone have a good break!
